At New Horizons, we’re committed to keeping you informed about important updates related to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Starting from 1 July 2026, there are changes to price limits for NDIS supports delivered by disability support workers. You can find details on these changes below.
The latest NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits for 2026 to 2027 have now been released. These arrangements help NDIS participants, providers and support workers understand how pricing works for funded services under the NDIS.
Each year, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) reviews and updates the pricing guide to make sure it reflects market conditions and supports sustainable service delivery. These updates outline the maximum prices registered providers can charge for supports and services.
Let’s take a look at the key changes that come into effect from 1 July 2026.
- Prices for supports delivered by disability support workers (DSWs) have increased by 4.75%
- For Social, Community and Civic Participation (SCCP) supports:
- Prices for unregistered providers will reduce by 10% from 1 January 2027.
- These supports will not receive indexation for unregistered providers.
Pricing has increased in line with DSW indexation (4.75%).
- Prices for psychology including specialist positive behaviour supports will increase to $252.99 per hour (8% increase).
- Prices for dietetics will reduce to $178.99 (5.2% decrease).
- Prices for exercise physiology will reduce to $161.99 (3% decrease).
- Other Professionals (excluding early childhood): reduced to $156.16 per hour.
- Changes to travel introduced in 2025-26 will remain in place with a new travel line item introduced for therapy supports.
No pricing changes have been applied.
- Pricing for short term accommodation/respite has moved from a bundled daily rate to a separated model of accommodation plus support costs.
- Prices for nursing and other non DSW supports will be increased in line with adjusted CPI, at approximately 3.4%
- A new tier will be introduced to the Isolated Towns Modification based on additional criteria such as low utilisation, necessary increased travel and socio-economic disadvantage. This will enable providers to negotiate travel with participants, however no loading will apply.
NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits ensure consistency, transparency and fairness across the sector. Providers must comply with these guidelines to deliver supports to NDIA managed or plan managed participants.
The NDIA reviews pricing annually and makes further updates throughout the year to respond to market changes.
