
Anne Ivanson, the General Manager of People and Culture at New Horizons, has had a diverse and impactful career. She began as a Social Worker, assisting clients with mental health and disability challenges. Her journey includes international experience in fostering and adoption in the UK, roles in return-to-work coordination, and significant HR positions in both public and private sectors.
Anne’s career highlights include working on change initiatives at the NSW Department of Industrial Relations and large private sector companies. She also led HR functions at various organisations, including KPMG and the Aged Care Quality Agency, and played a key role in large-scale change programs and establishing HR functions for not-for-profit organisations. Additionally, Anne held HR leadership roles at TAFE NSW, where she contributed to the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives.
Anne holds a bachelor’s degree in social work and a Master’s of Business majoring in employment relations, along with various certifications in counselling, rehabilitation, leadership and management. Throughout her career, she has consistently prioritised people, striving to ensure exceptional outcomes for clients, teams, and organisations. She values the extraordinary individuals she has met and worked with over the years.
On a personal note, Anne recently rediscovered her passion for travel, reconnecting with old friends and enjoying new adventures. She believes that age should never be a barrier to pursuing one’s passions and looks forward to more travel experiences in the future.
